E I E I O! Farm Week

What a wonderful week! So many fun and new things to explore and although our farm field trip was rained out, we made the most of it and had a lovely Friday. Be sure to check out our fall bulletin board in the hallway. We are "falling" in love with reading and will be keeping track of all the books we read together from now until Thanksgiving. Next week: letter E and autumn adventures!
"D" is for Dulcimer! The kids really enjoyed playing and experimenting with sounds on the hammered dulcimer .

This little learner decided to help me with pricing our Farmer's Market produce. Stay away from those $11 pumpkins!

Another addition to our Jumbo Alphabet with some dog stickers

corn kernels in the sensory table, later in the week shape puzzle pieces were added in

They used glue colored with food coloring to make their dotted Ds. This activity took a lot of control and patience .

Think about all the fine motor and cognitive skills that went in to creating this play money for the market! I was so excited for him, he worked really hard on this independent project.

Our rained out field trip turned in to a very fun day full of reading and puzzles.

A spur of the moment activity to help make our rainy day special, they loved experimenting with the light projections! We will definitely be using this tool again.

Every once in a while the writing table becomes THE place to be and today was one of those days! They rediscovered their journals and spent a lot of time coloring and writing.
