Thanksgiving
What a wonderful week! We had so much fun in class and I am really enjoying our conferences. I love talking to you about your children and how special they are! I am thankful for all of you! We made Thanksgiving bracelets this week, traced and colored our hands to make our Jumbo H, played outside a lot, and did some special art and craft projects. Monday we will spend time reflecting on all of the things we are thankful for plus have our Thanksgiving party!

vertical coloring; not only is this something fun and different for the kids, it's an excellent way to build their arm muscles for fine motor skills |

We've added a few more feathers since this picture, but I think our turkey looks pretty spectacular! Thank you for spending that quality time together and decorating your family feather! |
In October we made it our class goal to read over 60 books before Thanksgiving. We add a leaf for each book we read together and our tree is getting pretty full! |

Playing Catch Up: Mad Science and G Week (again)
I hope you all had a fun and safe Halloween! Our Mad Scientist week was very exciting and the Halloween party was such a fun celebration. Thank you to our generous families who made it such a special party. The letter "g" got overlooked during all of the excitement so I did some curriculum rearranging and spent this week focusing on this great letter. Be sure to sign up for a parent teacher conference for this coming week if you haven't already. I look forward to sharing with you how much I am enjoying teaching your kiddos!

They had a lot of fun with the felt board. Here they are experimenting with throwing the letters to see if they will stick! |
All week long the kids thought of G words or saw them in a book and shared them with me . We had quite a collection; I think my favorite is gobbley gobbley goo! |
